Changes At Hamilton

There have been a few changes at the Hamilton Airport in the last month as follows.

--- Our website will be going through a few upgrades and changes so all of the content might not be available.

--- The Identifyer has changed from H30 to VGC and will be on all new publications and GPS updates after July 31

--- The New runway length of 5300 ft and AWOS frequency will be on the new publications

--- The GPS LPV approach is in the final stages of approval and may be operational as soon as November

--- and finally the new T-Hangars are complete

EAA�s Case Against User Fees

EAA is continuing to work with other general aviation organizations to oppose the FAA’s proposal for funding the nation’s air traffic control system. The funding plan, which reflects the advocacy of the powerful big-airlines lobby, would implement user fees and sharply increase fuel taxes to replace the current, time-tested system of excise taxes on aviation fuel and airline passengers. EAA and the other general aviation groups view this as nothing but a ploy by the airlines to offload more of their costs onto general aviation while grabbing more control of the nation’s airspace. Meanwhile, their proposals would require the establishment of a new and potentially costly bureaucracy.

Welcome to the new home of Valley View Aviation and Valley View Aviation West!

First of all Welcome to the New site I have been working on for the past month and a half. I hope it will help make navigation and interacting much easier. With this new layout I can control activities and news much easier, and I will even have some other people posting news and other information to keep everyone informed of the local activities. As you can see already we have a search function incase you heard about something on the site and can't find it, we also have a Weather Channel block on the left side so you can see what the weather should be in Johnstown. I also have all of our services information on the left side so you can see what all we do! I haven't made the webcam at Johnstown functional yet BUT, we have a webcam feature here where you can submit a link to a webcam that you know of if you find one on the internet somewhere. We also have a forums section if you want to chat with other members, The Users that where registered on the other site where unfortunately lost due to the server switch. I didn't have the capability to copy over the code in the SQL server to the new format and keep all the passwords. So everyone has to re-register, I'm sorry for any inconvienence but it can't be helped. The good news is there are many more ways to communicate and this is a much better setup!

Also for everyone out there that visits this site, If you have News about the area or for aviation in general please click on the "Submit News" Button on the top of the screen, that will submit what you typed or copy pasted, to me so I can put it on the front of the site for everyone to see. This way we can get News about Fly-ins and other events out to everyone quicker. I'm also working on a place for people that are selling planes in the area, so that they can post a description and pictures for everyone to see. For now Anyone that is selling an airplane that wants to post it here just click on the "Submit News" Button on the top of the screen.

My Photo gallery will soon Move to this site aswell, making it possibe for everyone to not only View my pictures, but to also be able to Order them in various sizes and have them shipped to your door. Don't worry, Viewing them in full size will still be free, which means if you want to bypass paying me and print them out on your own Computer you still can, you just won't have Kodak printing!!

And Finally, the last piece of the upgrade, I've uploaded 5 New Videos so check them out in the Downloads section! You can even submit downloads like Videos and Pictures for everyone to view!!
